SEFAKOY Adds Moisture Liners to Protect Cargo at Sea

Moisture-proof liners were fitted before loading, an extra step SEFAKOY takes on long sea routes to keep the medical equipment and supply products it supplies dry.

Before loading began on a recent shipment, SEFAKOY fitted moisture-proof liners inside the containers, an extra layer of protection used on longer sea routes where temperature changes inside a steel container can lead to condensation.

Condensation forming on the inside of a container can drip onto cartons stacked near the roof and walls. A liner keeps moisture away from the cargo, and cartons are also kept a short distance from the container walls where practical.

It is a simple, low-cost step, but one that matters over weeks at sea. SEFAKOY decides case by case, based on the route and the season, whether a liner is worth adding to a shipment.
